Truman knows the CIA assassinated JFK

Fifty years ago today, the eighth President to die while in office, was assassinated.  Since John F. Kennedy's death, no President has died while in office, giving the country its longest stretch without an Oval Office death.  Here are the Presidents who have died while in office to date:
  • William Henry Harrison - April 4th, 1841(Pneumonia)
  • Zachary Taylor - July 9th, 1850 (Mystery)
  • Abraham Lincoln - April 14th-15th, 1865 (Assassination)
  • James Garfield - July 2nd-September 19th, 1881 (Assassination)
  • William McKinley - September 6th-14th, 1901 (Assassination)
  • Warren Harding - August 2nd, 1923 (Poisoning suspected)
  • Franklin D Roosevelt - March 29th, 1945 (Sudden death, on 33rd parallel, in Warm Spring, GA)
  • John F. Kennedy - November 22nd, 1963 (Assassination)
As for the 33rd President, Harry S. Truman, who is responsible for the creation of the CIA, the separating of the Air Force from the Navy, and the dropping of the Atomic Bombs, he made it abundantly clear he knew who killed Kennedy on December 22nd, 1963, exactly one month after Kennedy's assassination.  It was on this day, he wrote an article for the Washington Post stating why the CIA needed to be reduced to "intelligence gathering only".
