Today it is reported Alan Henning was beheaded.  Now they're already building the narrative for the next beheading victim; Peter Kassig.

As is typical of most hyphenated phrases by the mainstream media, the "33" is revealed when Gematria is applied.

• 'I believe in hopeless causes'
• I = 9
• believe = 2+5+3+9+5+4+5 = 33
• in = 9+5 = 14
• hopeless = 8+6+7+5+3+5+1+1 = 36
• causes = 3+1+3+1+5+1 = 14

Notice the "33" in the word believe.
