Simple was the first word on our list of Bible words adding to 444 in English gematria. When I saw the word simple in the Bible I started underlining every sentence with it. I underlined sentences with the word simple in three different books that were written over a thousand years apart from different authors. The psalms and proverbs from the old testament and from romans in the new testament. When I read each sentence in order, from one book straight into the next book it connected like poetry and was a message. (Don't Believe in Jesus and God of the HOLY BIBLE) explain that. HERE IT IS. ITS CALLED: " SIMPLE "
The law of the Lord is perfect, converting the soul;
The testimony of the Lord is sure, making wise the simple. The Lord preserves the simple;
I was brought low, and He saved me. You, through Your commandments, make me wiser than my enemies; For they are ever with me.
The entrance of Your words gives light;
It gives understanding to the simple. To give prudence to the simple,
To the young man knowledge and discretion—
A wise man will hear and increase learning, and a man of understanding will attain counsel.
"How long, you simple ones, will you love simplicity?
For scorners delight in their scorning,
And fools hate knowledge.
For the turning away of the simple will slay them,
And the complacency of fools will destroy them;
And saw among the simple,
I perceived among the youths,
A young man devoid of understanding,
O you simple ones, understand prudence,
And you fools, be of an understanding heart.
4 "Whoever is simple, let him turn in here!"
As for him who lacks understanding, she says to him, Come, eat of my bread
And drink of the wine I have mixed.
Forsake foolishness and live,
And go in the way of understanding.
Give instructon to a wise man and he will be still wiser; Teach a just man and he will increase in learning.
The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom, and the knowledge of the Holy one is Understanding.
A foolish woman is clamorous;
She is simple, and knows nothing.
"Whoever is simple, let him turn in here";
And as for him who lacks understanding, she says to him, 17 stolen water is sweet and bread eaten in secret is pleasant. but he does not know that the dead are there, That her guests are in the depths of hell.
The simple believes every word,
But the prudent considers well his steps.
The simple inherit folly,
But the prudent are crowned with knowledge.
Strike a scoffer, and the simple will become wary;
Rebuke one who has understanding, and he will discern knowledge.
When the scoffer is punished, the simple is made wise;
But when the wise is instructed, he receives knowledge.
A prudent man foresees evil and hides himself,
But the simple pass on and are punished.
A prudent man foresees evil and hides himself;
The simple pass on and are punished.
For those who are such do not serve our Lord Jesus Christ, but their own belly, and by smooth words and flattering speech deceive the hearts of the simple.
For your obedience has become known to all. Therefore I am glad on your behalf; but I want you to be wise in what is good, and simple concerning evil.

There's no such hidden message within this. I'm open to seeing it, but it's not here.
ReplyDeleteThe meaning of simple is consistent and clear as is the entire word of God to those that have a love of the truth are not spiritually blind.
DeleteThe person who sent this put in parenthesis (don't believe in Jesus or God of the Holy Bible) which is written as if that was the message. I thought they were trying to point out inconsistencies. I agree these verses are consistent.
DeleteAs much as the Bible is coded though, I'm not so sure anymore "all scripture is God-breathed" like I used to.
DeleteI see it as a tribute to the virtues of being simple.
ReplyDeleteThe simple don't sit around trying to think of ways to steal, kill and destroy such as the selfish do. Good post.
ReplyDeleteRight, but the simple don't do much of anything. The goal isn't to remain simple (except in terms of concerning evil) but it's a good place to start.
DeleteGood points mad1dog. Did you grow up in a denominational religion?
DeleteNo, I grew up simple and full of folly. lol. I turned to the bible for answers when I was 18, never reading it before that.
DeleteSimple is the way of life mad1dog, this I am certain. What a person does and being simple have nothing to do with each other. Once you get past simple, mostly all bad things come. Technology is my best example, it is not simple, and it has done nothing positive for this planet when weighed against the consequences of its existence. Sure, without technology I could not have figured out what I have, but without this same technology, I could have never been enslaved as we all have.
ReplyDeleteSimple.
Absolutely 100%, a simple LIFE where we can operate day to day unhindered by disorder, or whatever else in our lives, is the thing to have. By cutting out different technology or whatever else we don't really need. But These verses in context are talking about 'the simple' as in people with simple ways and thought patterns contrary (unknowingly) to God's., without understanding and prudence YET. (living by mere insticts) which is what defines a person as simple HERE, in these verses. I see it as saying: starting a simple person and remaining a simple person after being made wise is not the goal, according to these verses. When it says: "How long you simple ones, will you love simplicity?" , "the simple inherit folly".... I don't believe those are good things. I think Having a simple LIFE is a great goal though.
ReplyDeleteI also agree with what you are saying.
DeleteBut one verse (the last one) simple is in reference to how Paul I assume is saying believers should be towards evil.
Simpleransliteration: akeraios
Phonetic: ak-er'-ah-yos
Thayer Definition:
unmixed, pure as in wines or metals
of the mind, without a mixture of evil, free from guile, innocent, simple.
Okay, I see what you mean now and I agree.
