There are many curious things on the cover of The Economist's new cover for the year 2015. Among them, in the bottom right corner, there is an image of what appears to be arrows, with the numbers 11.5 and 11.3 on them. These numbers are of much curiosity to me. I will be pondering what this might mean... feel free to help me.

Those numbers Are arrows, pointing straight into the Ground..it's plausible.
This whole picture is chock.
The arrows are right at Alice's feet, which are heels-together like Dorothy in Oz, and like a mason "on the square".

Plenty of '11' in this cover. This is no coincidence. There is also a bunch of symbolism in the cover that likely tells the distinct story of a 2015 event.
11.3, 11.5: I agree that they may very well represent two planned earthquakes. Notice that the arrows are lodged into a reflective surface, next to sand. Maybe this signifies upcoming earthquakes off the coast of say, California?
