It was approved way back when by RZA, but apparently because it's better than the garbage he's been putting out, he's playing money grabbing games with copyrights & such. (And the copyright is up in 88 years. Which RZA claims is because of the full number of Wu members sums to 88 or some other numerology hogwash)
