52 | Keen Ice Defeats American Pharoah, August 29, 2015, at Travers Stakes




Recall it was May 2 that began American Pharoah's Triple Crown feat.  Notice the '52' connections to his loss on August 29, 2015.

Keen = 11+5+5+14 = 35
Ice = 9+3+5 = 17
Keen Ice = 52
8/29/15 = 8+29+15 = 52 (8+29 = 37, First Triple Crown Winner in 37-Years)
Travers = 2+9+1+4+5+9+1 = 31/40
Stakes = 1+2+1+2+5+1 = 12/21/30
Travers Stakes = 43/52/61/70


Notice Frosted finished in third.  This was the only horse mentioned as a threat during the time American Pharoah was making his Triple Crown bid.

Frosted = 6+9+6+1+2+5+4 = 33/42

    Buccimane =71 Seventy One =144

    A bit of a stretch, but American Pharaoh losing at this point carries some significance.
