Only two World Series have gone into November. The 97th World Series, where the Yankees lost to the Arizona Diamond Backs, and this World Series, where it remains to see what happens. If New York Mets were to lose, it would mean both World Series that went into November were lost by New York teams.
Diamondbacks beat the Yankees 54 days after 9/11. If the Royals beat the Mets tonight on 11/1, it will be 54 days before Christmas.
