Honest = 8+6+5+5+1+2 = 27/36

Now the BIG QUESTION.

Notice the tradition began with the 33rd President, in year '47.  What do we know about this number pairing?

It is interesting that NPR chooses this photo, the one taken just days before JFK was assassinated, at least so the story goes, in Dealey Plaza.

So there you have it, they don't kill the turkey because that might hurt their political position in the modern day United States.  It really is all politics, even turkeys for the president.  This reminds me to look up the '33 months of lame duck president' left for Obama.
