Donald Trump says NFL Refs throw flags to impress their wives

There's actually a huge chunk of truth here, in terms of how the game has become soft, just like the population of males coming up.  Feminizing the men is a real agenda, the NFL is only a part of it.  All the homosexuality on TV goes hand in hand with what is being done to the American Male.

  1. This actually made me laugh!

Speaking of laughter; You ever notice how prevalent the "lol", "lmao", etc. is with men nowadays?
I'm old enough to remember when it was only females doing that nonsense.

    1. It made me laugh too, I was 13 when AOL instant messenger came out.

    2. At the start of AOL and AIM, is right around the time when children stopped playing outside. Before then, your mom had to yell all the way down the block, just to get you inside for dinner; We would still be outside at night.

The world changes very quickly, and I remember this abrupt shift vividly. I say all this; as someone who's only in their mid-to-late 20's.

    3. Yes, my generation has seen the world radically change. I think we were the last to play outside with other kids. Technology, Amber Alerts and other heightened fear mongering has been the undoing.

    6. Uhh what? Please tell me you're kidding. When lol came in to use (well before AOL was even a thing to the average person) the internet was primarily male-dominated.

I guarantee that particular bit of newspeak was started by men and proliferated by men. I think it's a bit of stretch to say it's a womanly thing to type lol in a comment, or perhaps I simply take issue with the assertion, since I occasionally type it. ;)

I suppose emotes are womanly too?

How are you supposed to quickly fill in the voids where body language would normally show, in person, that you found something funny? I actually find it more annoying when people type out hahaha, because hardly anyone really laughs like that.

Also, just because someone types lol doesn't necessarily mean they are sitting there laughing, just like rofl definitely never indicated that a person fell on the floor, rolled around and laughed.

Saying "I find that funny." is like Seinfeld's bit about the girl he was dating that never laughed, but would instead calmly declare that something was funny. It's pretty awkward. The newspeak / webisms might be annoying, but they serve a purpose in this fucked up arena.

    7. David,

Male dominated? Maybe the tech industry itself, but not social media. When AIM hit the mainstream every female I knew had it; my male counterparts not so much. It sort of became the new version of courting; instead of calling the girls house, and having to deal with her parents. More guys got with AIM just to talk to girls, so I'm not sure why you think it was male dominated.

You said you use "lol" yourself, so you clearly have a bias here. To answer your question about "emotes"; Yes they are feminine, in my personal opinion.

All of these shortcuts make people lazy, when expressing themselves through writing. My aunt has been an English teacher for over 40 years; She saw a major decline in students' writing ability , right around the time this form of communication hit the mainstream. According to her, it's gradually becoming worse each year.

You say they serve a purpose, but I'm sorry, I just don't see it. Like I said before, I think it's just people being lazy in their expression.

As for Seinfeld, fuck that no talent hack. I never found him funny, and it's not due to me misunderstanding sarcasm. I know regular people funnier than him, and most comics in general.

We're going to have to respectfully disagree here.

    2. whenever anyone does the a/s/l thing (always as a joke nowadays) I always respond with 81/M/Corcoran State Prison .. no one has ever figured out that I'm describing Charles Manson. It's a pretty hard joke to get I guess.
