The previous Supermoon was 1/26/48 or 21 years 6 months and 9 days(with end date) before that album.

Doesn't it seem like our past "Trips To The Moon" would've been scheduled to COINCIDE with a Super Moon -- to decrease travel distance?
ReplyDeleteGrowing up during the Space Race Era -- when EVERY launch was watched in the classroom & all things Space & Moon were Big Topics -- I definitely would've remembered hearing the term "Super Moon". Any kid would remember THAT.
But -- I don't recall hearing about Super Moons until around 2010-2012. Although this may be the "Biggest" -- they've been labeling various moons ”Super" a few times a year lately.
Is this actually a NEW phenomenon? If so -- what's causing it?
Or -- could it be a convenient excuse -- used to explain High Tides that would otherwise seem "rogue" or anomalous?
(If what WE SEE is a "projection" -- then the moon's size could probably be "adjusted".)
