I do it the same way, I pay first for everything myself. Whoever does NOT understand it, is a STUPID schmuck. Schmucks like that usually ASK other people to pay everything for them, from the beginning: i.e. for their travel (raising money), for their speeches, for their business, for their websites, etc., for the SIMPLE reason, they do NOT want to pay for anything!
