42 77 89 | 89th Oscars will mark 77-years since Hattie McDaniel won first award as an African-American, February 26, 2017




Notice the first African-American to win an Oscar was Hattie McDaniel, in 1940, for her role in Gone With the Win.  That was 77-years ago this year.  Theater = 77

As for this being the 89th Awards, I have written a few times on this blog that it seems after 42, 59 and 93, the next most common number showing up in black history, is 89, the 11th Fibonacci Number.  We'll see what happens tonight.

In Reverse, Oscars also connects to '42'.
