A tattoo of the golden ratio, that corresponds with the Golden State Warriors June 12, 2017 championship, where they finished with a 16-1 playoff record?






Something I wanted to get to sooner was David West's tattoo, the Golden Ratio (Phi), or 1.61, something like 16-1, the Warriors 2017 championship season playoff record.

Phi = 1.61

Phi = 16+8+9 = 33 (NBA Finals = 33)

David West joined the Warriors to start this season, a less high profile acquisition than Kevin Durant, due to the age of West, who was once one of the better power forwards in the NBA.

West = 67; Warriors won the West with 67-wins in regular season
West also joined the Warrior July 6, 2016, or 6/7 (7+6+20+16 = 49; Warriors = 49)

Think about Philadelphia and the Key of 'David'.  David West?

As we know, the Key of David was crucial this year.  The Cavs lost on David Rockefeller's 102nd birthday.  Key of David = 102; Divisors of 102 sum to 216; The Key of David = 216


Fibonacci Sequence; 1, 1, 2, 3, 5, 8, 13, 21, 34, 55, 89, 144, 233, 377, 610...

Remember last year, when both teams met in Game 7, having scored 610-points each?

PHI, the abbreviation for Philadelphia as well, the original home of the Warriors.



First, notice the '35'.  He came with Kevin Durant, #35.

As we know, 35 was a major signature of this past season, especially with the Warriors blowing out the Cavs by 35 for their 35th win of the season MLK Jr. day.  King James = 35

David West signed with the Warriors when he was 35-years-old, two days after the Warriors got Kevin Durant, #35.

Also notice the '55'.  King James = 35/55

107 is 17.

136 is the 16th triangular number; Pi = 16 (2016)

The Warriors had not won a championship in Oakland (the championship deciding game) since '74.

Kevin Durant joined Warriors 88-days from his birthday.
Last year the Warriors won 88-games, the 88th, 88-days from Pi Day

2 months and 17-days also reminds how LeBron James went down in his 217th playoff game all-time.  We'll call that one a coincidence.

This was the right season, #71, to have a tattoo tell the story...



Remember, the Warriors scored 71-points by halftime of Game 5.

Game 5 was on June 12, or 12/6, a fitting date to win big in Oakland.  One more time, this was the 71st season of the NBA, and the Warriors have been in Oakland since '71.



It's all math.

-The Warriors won their 5th NBA Championship
-They won it in Game 5
-This was the 25th championship of the modern era by the West
-Square root of 25 is 5
-Finals = 25; Kevin = 25; Kerr = 25 (Wore #25 for Cleveland, 25-years ago)

And for the record, David West was the 18th pick of the 2003 draft, 17-picks behind LeBron.

One last point about the Golden Ratio, the Cavs lost in Game 5 with '120' points.


AND.. the Golden Ratio is also known as the Divine Proportion, which connects to The NBA Finals, or "213", the big number for LeBron this series, a series which began on the day leaving 213-days left in the year.


ALSO

The Golden Ratio is closely associated with the Pentagram, of 5 sides.  This was the Warriors 5th championship all-time, and the 25th championship for the West.  5^2 = 25
