I've always said this about the Democrats.  To come in second place to the Republicans, on anything, is about the most pathetic thing anyone could ever do.  Yet the Democrats do it time and time again.

For the record, the Raccoon was once a symbol for the Republican Party, in the time of them transitioning from being called Whigs (time of Lincoln).
