So why would Freemasons like the number 155?

My thoughts.

It is 3 numbers, that sum to 11.

1+5+5 = 11

1 symbolizes God.  The Creator is important to Freemasonry.

One = 47; 47 degrees on the compasses

5 symbolizes balance and creation, the Freemasons are buildiers

Five = 42; Freemason = 42

The 55 sequence is also relevant.  We know about 55, God, Satan, Numerology, and the Fibonacci Sequence.  Or at least we should.  The blog is your friend.

As for why it would connect to Christianity, for the same reasons

3x11 = 33

Bible = 33; Good Book = 33; Gospels = 33; Sunday = 33; Masonry = 33; Secrecy = 33
