It is said that on January 11, 2016, the picture below of Hawking in his wheelchair, with the numbers '48, 16 and 11' was shown in Times Square.  These numbers have a significance to the location and the date.

Times = 2+9+4+5+1 = 21/30
Square = 1+8+3+1+9+5 = 27/36
Times Square = 48/66 (New York, 11th State, 1-11 summed totals 66)

Times = 20+9+13+5+19 = 66
Square = 19+17+21+1+18+5 = 81
Times Square = 147

Notice the last number in the sequence, is 11, again, connected to the location Times Square, as well as New York the 11th state.

And again, it was posted on the date January, or 1/11.

1/11/2016 = 1+11+20+16 = 48

This image was posted 3-days after Stephen Hawking's 74th birthday.

When I think of Stephen Hawking and '48', the first thing that comes to mind is as follows.

Hoax = 8+15+1+24 = 48
Evil = 5+22+9+12 = 48 (Not Hawking, but the joke that is Hawking)
Illuminati = 9+3+3+3+4+9+5+1+2+9 = 48
Propaganda = 7+9+6+7+1+7+1+5+4+1 = 48

Let us also decode the practical joke's name.

Stephen = 1+2+5+7+8+5+5 = 33
William = 5+9+3+3+9+1+4 = 34
Hawking = 8+1+5+2+9+5+7 = 37
Stephen William Hawking = 104 (Message received?  Through a talking computer?  LOL)

Stephen = 19+20+5+16+8+5+14 = 87
William = 23+9+12+12+9+1+13 = 79
Hawking = 8+1+23+1+9+14+7 = 63
Stephen William Hawking = 229

There is more to be unlock here... I need to think more.  Perhaps it is hidden in the history of Hawking's work.
