No the Jets will always remain the embarrassment where as the Giants get the Glory since they built the Giants up in the beginning of the Franchise. Super Bowl 3 was for the league the jets mean nothing
DeleteAnd not only that, but Cincy and Pittsburgh have played each other 91 times in the regular season, Cincy's last playoff win came in '91, 91k+ days ago, on the date 1/6/91, an awful lot like today's date, 1/9/16. Their legendary founder/coach Paul Brown died later that year (1991), and they haven't won a playoff game since.
ReplyDeleteCincinatti, OH = 119/197 (Simple/Bacon), Brown's birthday is 9/7, his full name = 179, and the Bengals' current coach Marvin Lewis = 197 (Bacon). Their current starting qb (due to "injury"), AJ McCarron had 79 completions in 119 attempts this season. If he wins he will be the most inexperienced qb to win a playoff game since '79. Pittsburgh coach Mike Tomlin has 97 career wins, and both he and Lewis have life numbers 90 and 109. The Steelers leading tackler has 119, there is a photo on espn of their player #97 front and center (blown up larger than it should be), their running back DeAngelo Williams is out with 907 yards, Pittsburgh has 1079 total tackles, a long punt of 79 yards, and their opponents have gained 1970 yards after contact.
You think it's possible the streak ends tonight? I think it just might.

ReplyDeleteI like the Bengals, but for the last few days a follower of the channel has been putting in my ear that the Super Bowl will be a rematch of the Cardinals and Steelers. He has interesting arguments so I'm really hoping Bengals win and I can put to rest what he has been feeding me.
