How much credence do you put in the 70 years since 47 theories? If you've seen any. Some people say 48 is when Israel became a nation and that 2018 is going to be a Holy Year. I don't buy into a lot of end of day things, but I do give merit to a fake end of days scenario for all the believers.
Aside from that, I offhandedly mentioned that Escape from L.A. bit about a prophesized megaquake, which causes L.A. to break off and become an island.
Everybody knows it's not a matter of if but when there will be a huge seismic event and John Carpenter definitely isn't the first person to suggest such a scenario.
