This is a great observation.  Remember, in the offseason, Chris Paul joined the Rockets by the numbers, specifically '112', the alt dialing code to 911 for emergencies.

Also interesting, Chris Paul joined the Rockets 61-days before the flood in Houston.  Recall, in high school, his grandfather was killed at age 61, the day he signed with Wake Forest.  He would then score 61 points in his high school game by the numbers.  Grandpa = 61; Time = 61

Paul joined Houston June 28, the flood was August 27.

He scored 61 for his grandpa, who was "randomly murdered" the day Paul signed with the NCAA.
