It also makes you think about Carmel-By-The-Sea aka Carmel, CA & the possibility of a planned earthquake. A staging area perhaps?

San Francisco sits almost exactly in the middle between Carmel & Bohemian Grove.
Wiki states specifically that poet George Sterling was "the uncrowned King of Bohemia". He helped found Bohemian Grove, & after the 1906 San Francisco Earthquake he moved to Carmel, bringing a cluster of influential literary leaders with him.
At 57, he reportedly killed himself with cyanide at the Bohemian Club in San Francisco when H.L. Mencken failed to come see him.
Mencken's writings are still favored by many elite -- he believed in the right of the superior to rule, disdained representative democracy ("jackals worshipped by jackasses") & believed in the theories of Ayn Rand (because common man, or Homo Boobus, is eternally child-like).
