33 | September 26, 1983, the Day the World Almost Died

There is a story that says the world nearly came to an end on September 26, 1983 due to Nuclear Armageddon.  According to the 'official report', it was Stanislav Petrov, the man with his finger on "the button", but who remained cool as a cucumber when his spy satellites indicated five nuclear missiles were heading towards his country from the Midwest of the United States.  His instincts told him the satellites must be mistaken because the attack did not make any sense.  Had he thought otherwise, and returned fire, it could have truly meant the end of the world for mankind as we know it, at least so the story goes.  Do you know what I like most about this story?  To me, it is most telling.  It is the name numerology of 'Petrov'.
