I was watching this earlier today. The home plate umpire was literally calling pitches 6-inches off the plate strikes for the pitcher who got the perfect game, and the announcers were talking about him throwing a perfect game from the first inning onwards...
Yes, it is rigged at this level too, and it is sad.
