CNNs very homosexual and drunken New Year's celebration, 2017-18

Did anyone catch CNN last night?  Anderson Cooper and another gay man were taking shots of tequila and flirting with each other.  It was something else.

I should have taken a photo of Don Lemon, who was also acting drunk, and is also gay.

What else I found curious was the French flag in Times Square.  Is that usual?  I don't remember this in the past but perhaps I'm wrong.  CNN's coverage was between New York and New Orleans, where the latter city is of course once French territory.
