Often times in the Freemason compass in their logo, it the 'All Seeing Eye'.
As for the compass being set at 47-degrees, it reminds of the '47 UFO incident in the 47th state, New Mexico, which followed the first official UFO sighting by Mt. Rainier, not far from Boeing.
