At this moment in time, both the Warriors and Trailblazers have six remaining games. If the Warriors can win five of those six, they will finish with 68 wins and 14 losses, for the 68th NBA Championship season.
With regards to the Blazers, they will win 53 games if they win three and lose three in their remaining six games. Why is the number 53 significant to the Trailblazers?
- Trailblazers = 2+9+1+9+3+2+3+1+8+5+9+1 = 53
- Warriors = 5+1+9+9+9+6+9+1 = 49
Notice that the NBA Finals begin on June 4, the 155th day of the year, and the flip of the date April 6, the date of the College Championship.
- 4/6 vs 6/4...
- NBA Finals = 5+2+1+6+9+5+1+3+1 = 33
