62 74 97 119 | 13th Amendment Amendment, the death of Lincoln & the end of the Civil War (Reader Contribution)

*Except for punishment as crime...
*In other words, slavery never ended...

Notice the date the 13th Amendment passed, January 31, 1865.  And don't overlook the 119 votes either...

1/31/65 = 1+31+65 = 97

From February 1, the next day, to the end of the war, May 9, was 97-days.  Of course 'February 1' is now the start of 'Black History Month', which ends on the 59th day of the year, kind of like how the war ended on 5/9, or May 9.
