And you gotta love how BBC's James Sales was on the scene before paramedics arrived and gave a guy CPR before he died in his arms. We're told it's massive carngage and body parts and blood and gore everywhere but every image looks like a drill and we just see that charred bike and some parts scattered on the pavement. This is a funny quote in direct contrast with the "total chaos" - - "The blast didn't cause rampant panic, as some bystanders were milling around peacefully and a family apparently unaware of the explosion was enjoying a meal at a nearby McDonald's, freelance journalist Adam Ramsey told CNN."
I was in Thailand last year during martial law where you'd be arrested for reading Orwell's 1984 in public, and there were 2 British tourists that got murdered on Ko Tao (mafia stronghold) and after a long mysterious whodunnit, finally the state rolled out 2 Burmese nationals who confessed after being tortured and were screaming at the press that they were innocent and set up. Word on the street was inside job, as the military was really pushing for a return to conservative Thai values and a distancing from Western corruption.
I was at this Erawan shrine and the whole area is pretty much one gigantic outdoor mall, some of the biggest shopping centres in the world in that block, just total decadence and hyper-consumerism, the thai elite and rich tourists, while a few blocks over is abject poverty and prostitution serving the tourists.
