Packers vs Seahawks Playoff History, Today Will Be The Third Time!

To date, the Seattle Seahawks have zero wins and two losses against the Green Bay Packers in the playoffs, with both losses coming in Green Bay, Wisconsin.
  • January 4, 2004 - Seattle (27) @ Green Bay (33)
  • January 12, 2008 - Seattle (20) @ Green Bay (42)
Notice the curious winning scores of 33 and 42... both by Green Bay.  Lifetime, the Packers are 10 wins and 7 losses against the Seahawks, with 15-Regular Season Games and 2-Post Season Games.  It should be noted that the last two games between the two teams have been played in Seattle, and Seattle has won both of those, the first of the two wins coming on a play known as the "Fail Mary".


The game on January 4, 2003, is best remembered by Seattle Quarterback Matt Hasselbeck saying, "We want the ball and we are going to score".  You can watch that highlight below.  It ended with a "pick-6" on the first play of overtime, causing the Seahawks to lose by a curious score of 27-33.


Matt Hasselbeck, who through this infamous interception, ended his career with the Indianapolis Colts.  Recall, it was the Miami Seahawks that folded in 1946-47, becoming the Baltimore Colts in 1947-48.  These days, the Seahawks play on the 47th Parallel...
