DeleteI wonder if this is one of the main reasons for the practice of taking on a pseudonym/stage-name and the way they manage them like an official database.
Like there is this rule among actors that there can't be two simultaneously famous people with the same stage name.
Also makes me think about the way 'screen name' became a web/computer term, even though it's really another way actors refer to their professional pseudonyms.
Maybe it's one of the reasons so many people act like their lives are hollywood movies. Everyone who is hip and online has a 'screen name', right? Now we're all actors on the world stage of the web.
I have probably gone by at least a dozen different names since I began using the internet.
