Reader Contribution | Luke 21:25, the Bible verse of the past month?

The following is from Luke 21.

Earlier in Luke 21... there is this...

Notice the part, "You will be betrayed by parents, brothers and sisters, relatives and friends, and they will put some of you to death.  Everyone will hate you because of me.  But not a hair of your head will perish."

But wait... you just said some of us will die?

And for the record, this is why I have never taken the Bible too seriously.  Almost every verse contradicts the next, or the one that came before it.  The Bible truly makes no sense, and I think that was intended, just like the news we get today, from the same "Synagogues".
