The Cost of the Afghanistan War vs. The Money Lost by the Pentagon in 1999 and 2000

It is said the war in Afghanistan is over, and the final price tag is $1-trillion.  Well, here is my problem with that.  Donald Rumsfeld, on September 10, 2001, the day before 9/11, said the Pentagon could not account for more than $2-trillion in spending for the years 1999 and 2000.  How in the world does the Pentagon lose over twice as much as what it costs to run a 13-year war?  How is that even possible?  Who is falling for this crap?

We've been swindled, way more than we'll ever know.
