If the earth was spinning at approximately 1000 mph the most efficient way to travel around the earth would be to suspend yourself into the air in a hot air balloon. You could float from NY to Oregon in about 3 hours. Why don't people do that?
Science has some explanation of how the air above earth is also spinning, do they not? I feel that I have been presented the answer to this question before. Theoretically, if it worked this way, when we jumped, we would land somewhere other than the point we jumped from. Sorting through all the lies makes it hard to find out what the truth is.
Yes, you are definitely correct. There is a scientific explanation using concepts of physics and the assumption is that we know the earth is spinning so this must be how that works. A lot of questions come up when people think about this topic and the quick way to shut up a thinking mind is to tell someone they are an idiot for even questioning if the earth is spinning or not..
This is just an observation, but I've known many science people and they typically are the thinkers they think they are. I know that is a general statement, but so many science majors simply idolize their professors and read all the published articles on their specific special area of study. I find that those are some of the biggest brain wash jobs out there. I lived with one for years and she is brain washed. Those people become militant non thinkers ((not all, but the ones I've run across and been friends with). The problem is they don't come up with the answers before consulting the authority's answers on such things. Instead of using their own brain to really devise how it could be that the atmosphere could actually keep up with the spin of the earth to a point that we cannot even take advantage (not one bit) of an earth that is reported to spin at 1000 mph or so at the equator.
If you are an up and coming physicist in your local university and you even bring this topic up you will be beat into submission so fast that you will feel like an idiot for being so stupid. You believe what they believe or you are out. Academics are mostly brainwashed elitists that become part of this brainwash system. Scientific research is largely controlled disinformation to make people believe something that isn't true or to harm us (example bogus pharma research and trials).
I cannot say with 100% certainty, but I have confidence that the earth isn't spinning. The answers science gives are complicated and I don't buy any of them. They sound pretty good.. The other fact that I notice is how can it be when objects with cameras rise above the earth you still can't see the earth spinning. Have you ever seen footage where the earth doesn't spin? I have. This video is an example I just pulled, but there are many.

I like this reasoning a physics student gave when questioning if the earth is spinning on its axis or not:
The atomosphere surrounding the earth is over 1000 times less dense than the earth. The earth and atomosphere react with each other. Mountains moves air but not vice versa. If the earth is rotating on its axis at 1000 mph at the equator there should be violent storms as a result. Gravity is not moving the air around the earth as asingle entity. Gravity may effect the atomosphere but differently than it effects earth. Since there are no 500 mph storms along the equator one must ask: Is the earth rotating on its axis?
The comment received restates the assumption that we can't even listen to someone that thinks the earth isn't spinning;

This is nonsense, are you doubting earths rotation? – Bernhard
Anyway, sorry for the long post of an answer, but this is one of those topics that people refuse to think about and to me it is pretty interesting.
