I really wish I had some of Berenstein Bears books from my childhood. If anyone has a copy of a Berenstein Bears book from when the name was with an 'e', please do share. It really does seem like the name always was Berenstein and not 'Barenstain'.
Everyone who has done so, only finds the "A" version. Something altered. If that is the case, then all the books in existence is going to be with an "A" not an "E"

Look them up on Amazon books..(last pages listed I believe) I have a picture taken from the original article and comments months ago. It shows bear books laying on their side with bindings facing the camera. Both spellings are there. One book has BERENSTAIN as the author with "Join the Berenstein Bears Book Club" on the binding. It was 100% BERENSTEIN back in the day.
DeleteI found two books that were my sons from the 90's and they both say Berenstain now but I'm sure they said Berenstein before. And I also asked two people what they thought it was and they both said Berenstein. How can so many people remember it as Berenstein....something really strange is going on lol.
