The Republican Party is always chipping away at the government services that protect people from total corporate tyranny.  This money "saved" by not being spent on consumer protection, will instead go to the corporate tyrants.  Again, the Democrats and Republicans are two heads of the same beast, but one head is still a lot better to deal with than the other.
