    1. So many Lion symbolism. Death of the Lannister’s, both Lionesses lose in the World Cup final. Both scar and mufasa are the only two lions to die in the old film. Then there’s the ‘lioness’ Amanda Nunes who won... what was interesting about her fight was during the face off she wore a USWNT jersey

    5. Have you heard of the Bobby Layne Curse? In 1958, the Lions traded QB Bobby Layne to the Steelers. He then quote: "In the next 50 years, the Lions won't win another championship." People claimed it was a hoax because it wasn't out in public, but during the 50 years, the Lions was of the worst franchise in the NFL. Got swept a lot, 1-10 in the playoffs. The one win was against Dallas in the 91 season. Ironically, the Steelers won SB 40 in Detroit. In 08, Lions went 0-16, while the Steelers won their 6th SB.

    3. Have you heard of the Bobby Layne Curses? In 1958, the Lions traded Layne to the Pittsburgh Steelers. Layne responded to the trade by supposedly saying that the Lions would "not win for 50 years". Meaning that the Lions would not be superior for 50 years. This story has been called a hoax, particularly because the quote was never published at the time.

Over the next half-century after the trade, the Lions accumulated the worst winning percentage of any team in the NFL.[citation needed] The Lions had 0 playoff wins in almost 35 years, back to back losing seasons and being swept by divisions constantly, they were 1–10 in postseason appearances; their lone playoff win came against Dallas following the 1991 regular season. In the last year of the supposed curse in 2008, the Lions lost every game of the regular season and became the first team to lose 16 games in one season. As for the Steelers they also won the Super Bowl that year and the last one in Detroit in 2006 which they also won in controversial fashion, they became one of the most dominant teams in the NFL winning 6 Super Bowls 1974 (IX), 1975 (X), 1978 (XIII), 1979 (XIV), 2005 (XL), 2008 (XLIII) [29]

Coincidentally, in the 2009 NFL Draft, right after the curse supposedly expired, the Detroit Lions drafted University of Georgia quarterback Matthew Stafford first overall. Stafford was an alumnus of Layne's former school Highland Park High School and also lived in a house on the same street as Layne's. In the 2011 season, Stafford's first full injury-free season, he led the Lions to their first playoff berth since 1999, but lost to fellow Texan Drew Brees and the New Orleans Saints. Also, in the 60 years since the curse, the Lions also endured multiple playoff droughts lasting more than 6 years, including the year of the trade, the Lions did not make the playoffs in 12 consecutive seasons. (1958–1969; 1984–1990; 1971–1981; 2000–2010).

    3. They're not all fixed dude lol it's literal magic , these guys put everything into what they got. How would you like to invest EveryThing you have into a kids game to be called a scripted story. I can't tell you if the Detroit lions get to the second round won't be stunning because Stafford def has some fire left, but the fucknsuper bowl seems out there, too far from reach. I think Matt is comfortable where he's at, breaking back bones and shoulders clicking on all directions

    4. Detroit as SB winner would make sense. Blues never won a cup and did it this year along with Raptors. What magic is you speak of?
