33 49 | A History of Warnings Prior to the Oso, Washington Mudslide

There is something to be learned from the warnings that predated the Oso, Washington landslide of March 22, 2014.  From the natural terrain alone, there is a history of landslides dating back to 1949, a curious year in this case.
  • Oso = 15+19+15 = 49
  • Washington = 5+1+1+8+9+5+7+2+6+5 = 49
  • 49-homes destroyed in the March 22 slide...
Making matters more interesting, 17-years earlier, in 1997, this specific region that slid was warned about being susceptible to sliding by geologist Daniel Miller, of the Arms Corps of Engineers.
  • Daniel = 4+1+5+9+5+3 = 27
  • Miller = 4+9+3+3+5+9 = 33
Notice that again in 1999, Daniel Miller and Lynne Rodgers Miller released an Army Corps of Engineers Report on the landslide/mudslide danger to the region.
  • Lynne = 3+7+5+5+5 = 25
  • Rodgers = 9+6+4+7+5+9+1 = 41
  • Miller = 4+9+3+3+5+9 = 33
  • Lynne Rodgers Miller = 99
With this information in mind, we should examine what other reports have been written about particular areas of geography that are prone to major disasters.  Perhaps our "Gang of 33" friends have given us clues as to where disaster might strike next.
