The player on the Blues who wears #42 is David Backes. 'D-B' or '4-2'. He was selected '62nd' (mason=62) overall in the 2003 draft. He is from Minneapolis, MN, M-M, or 4-4. His birthday is May 1st, or 5/1 (conspiracy=51). The name David Backes makes me think of the 'Diamondbacks' baseball team that plays in Arizona where the next superbowl will be.
I used to go to many Diamondback games once upon a time. That is an interesting connection, I hear it when I saw the name David Backes. Great work mad1dog.
Thanks Zach. yes it is interesting if I may say so myself. Crazy thing is.. I just noticed that the superbowl is 42 days away from December 22nd, the day you made this post, and I'm assuming the day the media put it up also. Did you ever get to see Randy Johnson "the big unit(115)" pitch in person? I was a Mariners fan when I was a kid. People thought that was odd since I was from Jersey and the Yankees were the rival. Griffey Jr. was my favorite player and at a young age I would do drawings of him that were quite good. Several years ago when I was in construction, I got to work on Griffey's new house being built in Florida. Knowing what I know now about sports, I'm not as proud of that story.
