33 | Gunter's Chain, Ramsden's System, Rathborn's System and the Masons

Surveyor's use chains to mark their measurements.  Below are descriptions of surveying chains from the past.

Notice the two system names from above; Ramsden and Rathborn.
  • Ramsden = 18+1+13+19+4+5+14 = 74
  • Rathborn = 18+1+20+8+2+15+18+14 = 96
    • 33-feet long
    • 40-links
    • 9.9" link
    • Vincent = 4+9+5+3+5+5+2 = 33
    • Wing = 5+9+5+7 = 26
Below is the description of Gunter's Chain.
  • Gunter = 7+21+14+20+5+18 = 85 > 13 > 4
  • Gunter = 7+3+5+2+5+9 = 31 > 4
Notice how Gunter's Chain is 66-feet.  What do we know about the relationship between 66 and 33 truth seeker?  Are we to think this is a coincidence?
