In 1949-50, the first year of East and West, there was a 68-game schedule.  Notice in the year '68, the schedule became 82-games.

I want to point out that 'Seattle' earned a team that season, the first with the 82-game schedule.

• Seattle = 19+5+1+20+20+12+5 = 82
• Armageddon = 1+18+13+1+7+5+4+4+15+14 = 82

Seattle is on the 47th Parallel North, and the first NBA Championship was in the year '47.
