November 18th is the 322nd day of the year. The November 18th, 2013 issue of TIME magazine features New Jersey Governor Chris Christie on the cover, with the title THE ELEPHANT IN THE ROOM. In the media, there is much talk about Chris Christie as the Republican Presidential nominee in 2016. Of course, there is much time between now and then, but this chatter of a future Christie Presidential Campaign reminds me of the hype around a Barack Obama Presidential Campaign after his Democratic National Convention Keynote Address in 2004, only bigger.
If Christie does turn out to be the 2016 Republican nominee, and eventually the 2016 President-elect, don't forget this cover of TIME magazine. 322 is the address of Yale's Skull and Bones, a secret society that has many members who have becomes Presidents of this country. His face on this timeless magazine, on such a day, has significance.
Also, looking back at history, Woodrow Wilson was once the governor of New Jersey, from the years 1910-1913, before becoming the President of the United States in the Spring of 2013. Chris Christie became the governor of New Jersey in 2010, and will likely remain the governor through 2016. Parallels. Earlier this month, he was re-elected Governor, despite a record low turnout from voters.
