Why Being A Vegetarian Is Good for the Earth, Truth from CNN

John Sutter, opinion columnist for CNN, has this to say about why it is good for the earth when people choose a vegetarian diet.  I have to give credit where it is due.  This is a CNN article I truly do agree with, and it is the reason I became a full-on vegetarian at the age of 19 after many years of only eating chicken and fish.  The vegetarian diet is much more gentle on the earth, and requires much fewer resources.  Yes, it does come with a cost of giving up delicious, salty, flavors and textures- but the bonus is you're saving the earth, as well as your own body.  There are a lot of misconceptions out there about protein and protein deficiencies concerning the vegetarian diet.  Simply eating a piece of toast with peanut butter on it can get you all the complete proteins you need, and it is 100% vegan.  Another good resource on vegetarianism, is John Robbins book Diet for a New America.  He is the son of founder Robbins of Baskin and Robbins.
