39 93 | Dean Smith, and the Curious Timing of His Death

Michael Jordan born February 17, 1963; 2+17+63 = 82; '82 Champions, NBA = 82 Game Season

Dean Smith is best remembered as the head coach of the University of North Carolina Basketball team from 1961-1997, a span of 36-years.  As we will see later, Dean Smith has a connection to the number 61 by birth, the year he began his career at UNC.  When he retired, he was the 'winningest' coach in NCAA History.
  • Dean = 4+5+1+14 = 24
  • Smith = 19+13+9+20+8 = 69
  • Dean Smith = 93
  • Dean = 4+5+1+4 = 15
  • Smith = 1/10+4+9+2+8 = 24/33
  • Dean Smith = 39/48
    • Recall that Dean Smith won National Championships in '82 and '93
      • 11-years apart
      • Michael Jordan has a life number of '82 (Was on '82 team)
      • Dean Smith has name Gematria of '39 and '93
      • '93 is associated with Thelema
        • Saturn = 93
        • Nike = 39
          • Nike uses Saturn's Rings for "Swooshes"
Dean Smith was just 21-days, or three weeks, from turning 84-years old; now having been born in February and having died in the same month.  It should be noted that "the greatest player he ever coached", Michael Jordan, finished his career at North Carolina in '84.
  • 2/28/1931 = 2+2+8+1+9+3+1 = 26
  • 2/28/31 = 2+28+31 = 61
  • 2/7/2015 = 2+7+2+0+1+5 = 17
  • 2/7/15 = 2+7+15 = 24 (Dean = 24)
  • February = 6+5+2+18+21+1+18+25 = 96
Before becoming a coach, he was player in Kansas, from the year '49 to '53, two very curious numbers at this time.  When paired with the fact that he died on 2/7, much like 27, a number often associated with untimely deaths.

We are told Dean Smith died peacefully in his home.  Something tells me his death has to do with winning his first title 33-years earlier, in '82.  That said, we're almost to March Madness and a new National Champion.  Keep your eyes open for more big news in the sport of basketball, Dean Smith is a big name, and these are curious time.

  1. Also golfer Billy Casper died at age 83 today. I was adding the numbers earlier today and you explained it perfectly. Great Job.
