The original name of the Stadium was Joe Robbie Stadium, named after the original owner of the team, from 1966. NFL = 66, Jewish Gematria; Season of first Super Bowl
Joe Robbie himself, started in the film Black Sunday, about terrorists crashing a blimp armed with explosives into the Super Bowl. That game was the Steelers vs the Cowboys, in Miami.
It is interesting to note that the original name of the stadium, has a connection to New York City. Tonight, the Dolphins are hosting the Giants, from New York City. It should be noted that the New York Giants have never lost in Sun Life Stadium/Joe Robbie Stadium.
As for gematria, the name Miami Dolphins, has a less direct connection as well.
It's a long story, told many times on this blog, if you want to know more about these numbers and New York. Between Florida and New York, I can think of a word that brings both places together, that also rhymes with "New". Funny thing is, this same gang of people run the NFL.
From the history of the stadium notice how much they won their first game by, 42-0. Also, in their history, they have never beaten the Giants in their home stadium.
