Walter Cronkite was known as the "The most trusted man in America" during the time he was the anchorman for CBS News from 1962-1981, the station with the all seeing eye for its symbol. His career in the media began in the year 1935, with the name Walter Wilcox, where he broadcast in Oklahoma City on channel KCMO. Walter "Cronkite" would later explain that the reason he used the name Wilcox at the beginning of his career was because the industry required a "false last name" to be on the air. In Gematria, let us compare the names Walter Cronkite with Walter Wilcox.
- Walter = 5+1+3+2+5+9 = 25
- Wilcox = 5+9+3+3+6+6+ 32
- Cronkite = 3+9+6+5+2+9+2+5 = 41
- Walter Wilcox = 25+32 = 57 , reduces to 12, reduces to 3
- Walter Cronkite = 25+41 = 66, reduces to 12, reduces to 3
Walter Cronkite, in his time in the air, had to break many major "news stories", including the death of John F. Kennedy, on November 22, 1963. That broadcast is famous for the words being overheard form the background, "Connally too", as someone had called out from the production team to inform Walter Cronkite that John Connally had been shot along with John Kennedy.
- John = 10+15+8+14 = 47
- Kennedy = 2+5+5+5+5+4+7 = 33
- Connally = 3+6+5+5+1+3+3+7 = 33
Follow Walter Cronkite's announcement of Kennedy being shot, CBS news followed with a commercial of Nescafe, and then a short advertisement of television show Route 66.
After the commercials, Walter Cronkite continued to special bulletin pertaining to the JFK assassination and in that time referenced the murder of Chicago Mayor Anton Cermak on March 6, 1933. Anton Cermak was the 44th Mayor of Chicago and was born May 9, 1873.
- Cermak = 3+5+9+4+1+11 = 33
- 5/9/1873 = 5+9+1+8+7+3 = 33
- Assassinated 3/6/1933, emphasis on the '33
- What have I been saying about "44" and assassination?
