88 119 | Northeast by Southwest | The Gematria/Numerology of Directions and Locations

As follows are the Gematria, that is the number translations, of directions and locations.
  1. North = 5+6+9+2+8 = 30 (3)
  2. North = 14+15+18+20+8 = 75 (12, 3)
  3. South = 1+6+3+2+8 = 20 (2)
  4. South = 19+15+21+20+8 = 83 (11, 2)
  5. West =5+5+1+2 = 13 (4)
  6. West = 23+5+19+20 = 67 (13, 4)
  7. East = 5+1+1+2 = 9
  8. East = 5+1+19+20 = 45 (9)
  9. Northwest = 30+13 = 43 (7)
  10. Northwest = 75+67 = 142 (7)
  11. Southwest = 20+13 = 33 (6)
  12. Southwest = 83+67 = 150 (6)
  13. Southeast = 20+9 = 29 (11, 2)
  14. Southeast = 83+45 = 128 (9)
  15. Northeast = 30+9 = 39 (12, 3)
  16. Northeast = 75+45 = 120 (3)
So, out of all the directions, what strikes me most curious of all is that Southwest is "33" and Northeast is "39".  These numbers are often found paired together, and in this regard, it strikes an "opposite" pairing as these directions are found 180 degrees apart from one another.  When I think Southwest, I also think of Southwest airlines.  When I think of Southwest, I also think of Mexico.  Curiously enough, the Mexican-American War ended on February 2, the 33rd day of the year, once upon a time ago.
  • Mexico = 4+5+6+9+3+6 = 33
Also curious is Northwest summing to 142.  This is curious to me only because the 42nd State, Washington State, is located in the Northwest region of the country.  The third and final thing that is curious, is West having the same sum as water, and what eventually ended up being the "13 colonies"; only after the founders of the English language sailed "west" through much "water.
  • West = 23+5+19+20 = 67
  • Water = 23+1+20+5+18 = 67
  • West = 5+1+1+2 = 13
  • "13" Original Colonies, out west
To me, this is all very interesting, especially when you consider the fact that the English language was developed and first spoken after Christopher Columbus sailed out West, through much water, across the Atlantic.
