Personally, I've never understood why a person shouldn't be able to seek help with assisted suicide if that is their choice. Then again, I'm for freedom, most aren't.

If a person wants to end their life, everyone else needs to butt out, that decision is hard enough. My dad took 60 100mg Oxycontin in the late stages of lung cancer to end his suffering. He didn't tell me what he was doing, I think because he didn't want to be talked out of it, or have me be complicit. Some people say suicide is for cowards, I think it's one of the bravest things he ever did.
