33 39 50 223 | The Madden Preview of Super Bowl 50, Steelers over Cardinals, 20-19?

Recall that last year the 'Madden simulation' called Super Bowl 49 nearly perfectly, nailing the final score and getting a lot of other key details right as well.

Let's see what they have this year for the Super Bowl, which they project as Cardinals and Steelers.

In the simulation, the Steelers end up winning the game at the end, with a pass to the back right corner of the end zone, caught by Antonio Brown, repeating history, as it was Santonio Holmes who caught the winning touchdown pass for the Steelers to defeat the Cardinals in Super Bowl 43, in the back right corner of the end zone as well.  Notice that Super Bowl 43 was 7 Super Bowls ago, and if the Steelers won this year, it would be their 7th Lombardi Trophy.   7x7 = 49; 49ers are hosting.

Making matters even more interesting, Super Bowl 43 ended in a sum of 50 points.  The Steelers won 27-23.  This year, the Super Bowl is on 2/7.

Anyhow, in the highlight above, it is 'Cortez Allen' who turns it around for Steelers in Super Bowl 50 with a pick six to get the Steelers back in the game.

Cortez = 3+6+9+2+5+8 = 33

Allen = 1+3+3+5+5 = 17

Cortez Allen = 50 (Super Bowl 50)

Cortez = 3+15+18+20+5+26 = 87

Allen = 1+12+12+5+14 = 44

Cortez Allen = 131 (Super Bowl = 131, Championship = 131)

Notice how Cortez's pick six brings the game to a total of '33' points, this is the momentum changing moment.  Let us not forget the Steelers joined the NFL in 1933, coming from the 'Keystone' State.

Keystone = 2+5+7+1+2+6+5+5 = 33

223 Yards, with a sum of 33 points.... Masonic = 223

In the end, it does not show the final score, it only shows the Steelers going up 20-19, against Arizona.  It does not show whether they go for two or kick the extra point, but you could assume they would go for two extra points, to make it a field goal lead.

Arizona = 1+9+9+8+6+5+1 = 39

If they kicked the extra point, the sum would be '40', fitting for the Steelers, who won Super Bowl 40 over the Seahawks, 43 over the Cardinals, and surpassed the 49ers in doing so with 'six' trophies.  Notice that the Cardinals and Seahawks are divisional opponents of the 49ers, and the 49ers are hosting this year.

Steelers = 1+2+5+5+3+5+9+1 = 31/40/49
