If this is a true story, Bernadette is a great human being. All of us should be asking ourselves how knee surgery leads to a coma. Those things do not compute. Again, if this is a true story, this vegetative state he was placed into must have been purposeful.
This story really makes me feel sad. A woman, having to treat her husband like a man doll.
There's nothing lucky about a 30+ year coma, but there is something very fortunate about having someone to love and take care of you through all of it.
