Notice that Kobe makes his announcement on the 333rd day of the year, November 29, 2015. This is a very important date in Israel's history, when it was recognized by a 33-member vote to be a nation, November 29, 1947, the year of the first NBA Season. He makes the announcement before playing the Pacers, who are run by Larry Bird, Magic Johnson and the Lakers old rival. The Lakers and Pacers have also met in the NBA Finals.
