Pitching, Blue Jays @ Cleveland:
Notice both pitchers have the same birthday.
Pitching, Dodgers @ Cubs:
The game comes 187-days after his 28th birthday.
We saw the Indians pitcher win yesterday, 187-days from his birthday.
The game comes 84-days (2 mo 23 days) before his 33rd birthday.
I got the cubs for game 1, but the AL game is hard to call considering they have the same birthdays
ReplyDeleteCheck out the long comments I made about Cubs-Indians in the other Indians-Bluejays post.

The Dodgers made two changes: adding Hernandez and Wood in place of Charlie Culberson and Austin Barnes. Hernandez is expected to start on Saturday night, and gives the Dodgers another right-handed option to use against the Cubs' plethora of left-handed relievers. Wood gives the Dodgers additional length from the bullpen -- something they could use after last series.
ReplyDeleteThe only change from the NLDS? Removing Tommy La Stella in favor of a 12th pitcher. That pitcher is Zastryzny, who gives Joe Maddon another left-handed option to throw at a platoon-dependent team. Don't be surprised if Maddon uses Zastryzny -- as well as Wood and Montgomery -- to chase some of the Dodgers' left-handed bats from the game earlier than Roberts would like.
A lot of money pouring in on the Cubs. Public smashed the run line at an alarming rate. If Cubs win, possibly by only 1.

I barely found out that the last time Cubs won was a conroversial one and some still think Giants still have been the NL winners not Cubs in 1908. Yesterday the drought turned 108 years old.Is the curse kicking in now?? Or no?,don't know too much about the lunar phases or what not but dodgers have not played a night game in this post season yet until 10/18 (118) or (181).tonight at 9:23 LA time the new moon presents itself according to timeanddate.com and in 1908 9/23 is when the conroversial game with Giants vs Cubs and Fred merkle "didn't touch 2nd base"
I'm confused on when you say dodgers haven't played a night game?
DeleteCurious to see if anything happens at that time.
Played a night game at home my bad
DeleteImagine the series follows the same pattern as Cav-Raps too. Cavs won the first 2. Indians look to be 2-0 after next inning.
DeleteDodgers or Cubs go down 3-1 and come back that would be comedy.
DeleteMaybe Dodgers win tonight and Cubs win next 4 ala 1991 NBA finals

Zach, have you done any work to link Carlos Santana of the Cleveland Indians and Carlos Santana the famous musician?
ReplyDelete-Carlos Santana = 39, 57 (S exception)

@thelegionary07 Wow, thanks!
DeleteLester has a span of 283 days from his last b/day. 283 is the 61st prime. Today's game falls on a date with 61 numerology..
ReplyDeleteBe on the look out for Toronto winning the next two games .
ReplyDeleteI find it very interesting Dodgers and lakers won in 88. So why not Cavs and Indians?
ReplyDeleteThe fact that it happened in 88 makes it more compelling to happen again now.
DeleteThey flashed a stat on Joc, another 88 connection. Something about hitting a home run to tie the game since 88.
DeleteThey also brought up a 2003 Cubs stat.
Delete#23 LeBron James was at the Indians game.
DeleteI just noticed Cubs have 808 runs in the regular season. 2nd place Colorado....oh please tell me that's a good sign after Denver Broncos win Super Bowl.

What still boggles me is when a fluke home run or fluke catch in football is scripted? Just like that Eithier HR just now, the wind carried that shit out?
ReplyDeleteKendrick could've catch that double I think it was on the 2nd inning. Obvious he let it drop lol
ReplyDeleteAgree but running into a brick wall might not feel too good haha
DeleteWhat's with the focus on the guy with the "Global Citizen" on his shirt in the crowd?
